What to Expect from your Appointment

The process to expect when you come to Southland Chiropractic

Initial consultation

  • Your first visit with us is all about finding out what your health goals are and if we can help you in that journey. Our examination process includes:
  • Gathering information about your spine and general health
  • VALD HumanTrak assessment which is a 3D infrared camera which assess posture and range of motion (click here for more information)
  • Spinal examination, orthopedic and neurological testing
  • X-rays if necessary which can be done on site (Invercargill) by our team or to your preferred provider
  • Chiropractic adjustment if deemed appropriate

Report of Findings

  • In your second visit, we will go over all your findings from your physical exam, VALD HumanTrak report and x-rays if they were taken.
  • Then together we make a plan to get you back to where you want to be.

Adjustment visits

Regular adjustments help to get your spine and nervous system firing on all cylinders so you can function at your best

Progress examinations

These examinations are a chance to check in to see how things are changing – subjectively and objectively. We will re-do certain tests from the initial appointment to assess progress and reassess the VALD HumanTrak which will give us a report showing any changes to posture and range of motion over your phase of care.
